I’ve owned a couple of Eagles and I’ve been a member of Eagle’s Nest- but I had no idea this was a thing. It looks so wonderfully awkward . Someone needs this. Not me.

The Sundancer is also a thing. A two-door Eagle with a Griffith convertible conversion - same guys who did the Celica Sunchasers.

Dude. Leather. A/C. Power Everything. It’s basically the mashup of an ‘80s Seville
and a Cherokee. It
is a glittering poo-and-vomit-colored gemstone of great price.

Yeah, it kind of would need a cherokee donor.

Technically that's a Concord. I've seen those in the Sunchaser variety, but not an Eagle.

This is from the “turn everything we’ve got into an Eagle to keep AMC relevant” strategy.
This was literally a 4WD variant of the AMC Concord Limited 2-Door Sedan (question: was AMC the last brand to sell a 2-door sedan in the US? I know the 2004 Volkswagen Beetle was the last in all of North America).
The AMC Eagle had to be the most varied and complex line of cars sold under a single model name, aside from the Oldsmobile Cutlass. It spanned two size categories and had everything from budget hatchbacks to family wagons to personal luxury coupes.
